scenario_name = Belgium

// DESCRIPTION
scenario_descr = Belgian Border, May 1940||Under the operational plan Fall Gelb, two German armies invade Belgium: one to lure the Allied forces into Belgium and a second advancing through the Ardennes, aiming to cut off the enemy against the English Channel.

// BRIEFINGS
briefing_2_0 = It is time to end the Sitzkrieg in the West. To break the stalemate, Berlin decided to launch an all out offensive against France!||Since the French-German border is protected by the mighty fortifications of the Maginot Line, we have to find another way to reach our objectives, and to avoid static trench warfare as seen during WWI.
briefing_2_1 = In the operation code named Fall Gelb we aim to quickly dash through the Netherlands and Belgium before the Allies can organize an effective defense.||While the enemy is deploying forces to halt our advance through Belgium towards northern France we will move other formations south for a surprise attack on Sedan.
briefing_2_2 = This is a crucial part of our plan: by sending armored forces through the Ardennes to cross the Meuse river at Sedan, we will be in a position to advance to the English Channel.||This will enable us to cut off large numbers of Belgian, British, and French forces that are still defending against our attacks further north!
briefing_2_3 = Your forces are required to quickly invade Belgium and defeat the border defenses, including Fort Eben-Emael.||Then advance further westwards, but be prepared for British and French forces deploying to the Brussels-Namur area in reaction. They have significant armored and aerial support at their disposal.
briefing_2_4 = Another part of your forces has to advance towards Sedan. We expect only sporadic resistance when passing through the Ardennes, but assault crossing the Meuse river will be no easy task.||You also need to secure Luxembourg. It is virtually undefended, but the French might organize a more substantial defense when given enough time, so move fast!

// OBJECTIVES
objective_2_0 = Drive through the Ardennes
objective_2_0_award = By reaching the main roads leading out of the Ardennes, the Allied positions in northern Belgium will become untenable.
objective_2_1 = Capture 3 primary VPs in the central Belgium
objective_2_1_award = Pressuring the Allied defenses in Belgium will distract their reinforcements away from our main drive through the Ardennes region.
objective2_2_0 = Destroy Eben-Emael fort in 2 turns
objective2_2_0_award = To prevent the Belgians from destroying the main bridges across the Meuse river, fort Eben-Emael must be eliminated promptly.
objective2_2_1 = Occupy Luxembourg in 2 turns
objective2_2_1_award = A rapid occupation of Luxembourg will prevent the French from sending troops into the country and threaten the flank of our advance.
objective2_2_2 = Complete in 35 turns
objective2_2_2_award = The general in charge of the quick advance will be promoted to a commander of your land forces.
objective2_2_3 = Capture Brussels
objective2_2_3_award = +2 SPs
